About Us

Thank You for 18 Incredible Years. It is with a heavy heart that OhK Diving announces the closing of our program. This decision was not made lightly. After many years of thoughtful consideration, it’s time to bring this incredible chapter to a close. What began in 2008 as WTRC Diving with one 1-meter board and 12 young divers grew into OhK Diving, proudly serving athletes from both Ohio and Kentucky. Over the past18 years, we have had the privilege of coaching more than 300 divers and building a community centered on hard work, perseverance, and a love for the sport. Together, we overcame countless challenges, from pool closures and relocations to navigating COVID-19 through Zoom practices and masked training. Through it all, our athletes, families, and coaches never stopped believing in what we could accomplish. We are incredibly proud of what this team achieved. Over 300 divers coached; 13 Ohio High School State Champions;9 Kentucky High School State Champions; 16 AAU National Individual Champions; 29 USA Diving Junior National semifinalists and finalists; multiple AAU National team podium finishes; and 64 divers who continued into college, including 49 at Division I programs. These accomplishments were only possible because of our amazing coaches, supportive parents, and the incredible young athletes who trusted us with their journey. As I enter my mid-60s, I’m ready for a new chapter—helping my daughter build her music studio and spending more time with my growing family, including my eight (soon to be nine) wonderful grandchildren. While I know I will miss coaching and the kids dearly, I also know this is the right time. I truly believe new opportunities for diving will continue to grow in the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky area. Just as we stepped forward to fill a need 18 years ago, someone else will do the same. As the saying goes, when God closes a door, He opens a window. For those looking to continue their diving journey, recommended programs include ACES Diving in Columbus, IISD in Indiana, and Legacy Cincinnati. To every coach who gave their time, every parent who placed their trust in us, and every diver who became part of the OhK Diving family—thank you.
